I am here to share with you some proven principles that have helped me and other world most influential people become productive.
1. BUSY PEOPLE HAVE MANY GOALS WHILE PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE HAVE PRIORITIES. Being busy entails working on many tasks at a time. When you do this it reduces your energy to finish well.
Tony Robbin says, where Focus goes energy flows ". Productive people concentrate on their most important task until they get it done before getting into another. For a case study. A BUSY student who reads many books 📚 at a time has little or no capacity to retain what he/she has read. While a productive student is one who WHO READS A BOOK AND UNDERSTAND THE BOOK. It's better to read a book and understand than to read five books without any clear understanding of any. Each time I was invited to speak in students conferences I do give this advice to the audience: "If you have many hand-out to read and examination is closed by, don't worry. Don't try to read 2 or 3 books at once. Simply pick a book, open a page and read for a proper understanding before you move to the next page until you get the book /hand-out finished. Don't worry about the time. Pick the next book and do the same until your time left to go in for the exams is over". Most of the students do report back to me that they followed the advice and that they finished reading all their materials within a short period of time before their exams began. And of course, most of them do well in their exams.
2. BUSY PEOPLE SAY YES TO EVERYTHING WHILE THE PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE SAY NO TO ALMOST EVERYTHING. it's important to know that all activities are not meant for you. Everything we do in life, we do them in place of the other activities. If you are at work now, you probably would have been in the cinema, beach or a birthday party of your friends. This is why placing your activities in the scale of priorities is important. Go for your most important activity that matters to your life and happiness. There is no time to do everything but there are always time to do your most important task that matters to you. Bruce Lee a movie actor says, "one does not accumulate but eliminate". Don't bug 🐛 your day with irrelevant activities. There is no time to do everything. Irrelevant activities are your distractions , shot the door 🚪 at them.
3.BUSY PEOPLE HAVE NO DEADLINE FOR THEIR GOALS, PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE DOES.
what separates those Who achieve their goals and those who do not is DEADLINE. a busy person will keep postponing his most important task from his cradle to grave. "I will do it later " becomes their phrase. A productive person sets time and date and have it executed. An anonymous quote says, "Work always take the amount of time you allow it to take ". Dare to set clear goals with deadline and you will astonish your self at how productive you would become.
4. BUSY PEOPLE HAVE MANY THINGS TO DO WHILE PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE HAVE FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO. productive people have few things to do which matters the most to their lives.
